Make a recording Meloisa can hear
- Record a short idea—around 2 to 30 seconds.
- Use one note at a time: hum, sing, whistle or play a single-note instrument line.
- Move away from speakers, fans and loud room noise.
- Keep the device about a hand’s length from the sound source.
- Sing naturally. You do not need to hold every note perfectly; the review step lets you hear what was captured.
If the microphone seems silent
- Open your device settings and confirm microphone permission is enabled for Meloisa.
- Disconnect Bluetooth audio temporarily and try the device microphone.
- Check that another call or recording app is not using the microphone.
- Record in a quieter place and move closer to the microphone.
- Restart Meloisa. If the problem remains, email your device model and operating-system version—without attaching your idea unless you choose to.
If playback has no sound
- Raise media volume and make sure audio is not routed to disconnected Bluetooth headphones.
- Check the Melody, Chords and Backing mute controls.
- Stop other audio apps and try again.
- For an emulator, verify the computer’s output device and emulator audio settings. A physical phone gives a more representative recording and playback test.
Your Original and versions
The first saved capture is the Original and should remain untouched. A Melody Lens or new arrangement creates a version. If a version is not visible, return to the Ideas library and open the relevant idea’s version history.
Delete or export an idea
Use the idea menu in your private library to delete local content. Deletion may not remove copies already included in a device backup or files you exported elsewhere. Because local-only ideas were never sent to us, support cannot recover them after deletion.
